DESCRIPTION
If we desire a practice that nourishes and supports our life,
it should incorporate the inherent
unpredictability of the world into its design.
Because most certainly what was useful yesterday
might not be the right solution for today.
We need to move beyond rigid and overly stable structures
and fixed forms toward open and responsive content,
guided by constant feedback from worlds within and outside.
When we dare to venture beyond
the “certainty” of deterministic frameworks,
we cultivate a practice that does not code
for a single environment, problem, plan or goal,
but rather supports a continuous capacity
for learning, problem solving, and the creation of new strategies.
We work within a structure that is that is evolvable,
capable of meeting life’s fluctuating circumstances
and unexpected earthquakes.
–
TOGETHER WE WILL WORK ON:
8 pillars of life supporting practice to understand
foundational FM Practice principles
Joint Articulations to increase structural stress allowance
Coordinations to foster locomotive integrity
and physical coherence
Improvisation to explore variability and novelty
Movement Situations to test the intelligence
of our problem solving through play and games
