Birth, Ageing, Illness and Death
That is old ancient saying.
That is the path through life.
Everyday we slowly disappear, but we do not have to fade away,
grow old without appetite for play and curiosity.
Yes once we will get old, fragile, perhaps losing some teeth
but with the sparkle in our eyes and imagination.
In FM Private we will once again enter the world of theatre.
to temporally loosen reality we hold onto
and reveal worlds that have always been there
but been invisible to our tired eyes.
An empty space, as
P. Brook asks for empty space
Grotowski to remove all unnecessary decoration
to come to fbare minimum
Noh theatre asks for one gesture
to contain many gestures
for silence to carry information.
In the Theatre of Life,
we will explore not only who we are,
but who else we could possibly become.
Theatre is place where we can safely explore
test new worlds without actual real life consequences.
We can take on mask, character, costume
transform our voice, explore new behaviours.
To discover other me.
To make myself available to explore new options for action
to destabilise our established our existing optimal relations
to become wanderer again
go beyond who we are habitually
open up new pathways
expand our territory.
To grow our behavioural repertoire
and behavioural flexibility
expand our communicating vocabulary.
To look at our own life, autobiography, behaviours, relations
and play-try novel, unexpected scripts and new roles
to harness errors we allow for growth and develop,
improvement or acquiring of new skills,
more flexible relations.
Perhaps this is one of the great capacities of a living system:
to become different without becoming disconnected from itself.
